One grand prize winner will receive $10,000 plus a Premier ticket including a private group Q&A session with LIEC Keynote Speaker Daymond John – Star of ABC Shark Tank. The finalists will receive a VIP ticket ($350 value).

Who can apply

Altice Business intends to recognize projects by
Entrepreneurs; People interested in innovative technology.

Those who are not allowed to participate
Employees of any Altice Group companies; Service providers of any of the entities mentioned in point one; Any individual who is a part of the applications analysis and evaluation team.

What do I need to do

All you have to do is submit your idea. We are looking for original ideas or concepts that are not yet commercially available.

How to Submit All challenge ideas must be submitted via video where the participant presents the idea (no longer than 10 minutes in length) or via PowerPoint presentation format (no longer than 10 slides).

Judgement Process Submissions will be evaluated by the Product & Marketing team at Altice Business USA.

Evaluation Criteria All challenge ideas must be submitted in video form through the landing page with the applicant presenting as if it were to a live audience.
100 Point Scale
Must be innovative: up to 20 pts
Must be useful and empower small business owners: up to 20 pts
Must be simple to use: up to 15 pts
Must have longevity: up to 15 pts
Must be environmentally friendly/sustainable: 15 pts
Presents a business opportunity for Altice: 15 pts

Next Steps If interested, all valid applicants will receive a discount code for 20% off tickets to the Long Island Entrepreneurship Conference (up to two per applicant). Three finalists will be selected, along with one guest, to attend the Long Island Entrepreneurship Conference and present their ideas in front of over 500 other existing or aspiring entrepreneurs as well as industry thought leaders. Winner will be announced at the conference.

The Long Island Entrepreneurship Conference 2018

One-day event that will provide entrepreneurs with training resources, networking, breakout sessions and insights from industry leaders.

Rules

  • Applications must be received between 8/13 – 9/7 and will be evaluated between 9/15 – 9/21.

  • Candidates must bear all costs related to the preparation and submission of the project.

  • Three finalists will be selected, along with one guest, to attend the conference and present their ideas. Winner will be announced at the conference.

  • Must be a US citizen and over the age of 18.

Terms & Conditions

Submission

Submission Example A bread bin for a local bakery to give to their customers. It uses M2M technology to detect when the bin is getting empty, prompts the customer to verify that they would like to order another loaf and allows them to place an order then and there through their smart phone.
